Dr. Bryant Castelein and Dr. Yara Tinawi focus on minimally invasive treatment options whenever appropriate and offer both conservative and surgical care of the foot and ankle.

We are honored each time a patient chooses to refer someone they care about, and we work hard to provide every new patient with the same exceptional experience that earned your recommendation.

Heel Pain and Tendon Conditions

Heel and tendon pain are among the most common reasons patients visit a podiatrist. We diagnose and treat:

  • Heel pain
  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Achilles tendonitis
  • Achilles tendon rupture
  • Posterior tibial tendon dysfunction (adult-acquired flatfoot)
  • Shin splints

Toe and Forefoot Conditions

Pain affecting the toes and front of the foot can make walking, exercising, and wearing shoes uncomfortable. Common conditions we treat include:

  • Bunions
  • Hammertoes
  • Turf toe
  • Morton’s neuroma
  • Ingrown toenails
  • Fungal toenails
  • Corns and calluses

Foot and Ankle Injuries

Whether your injury occurred during sports, work, or everyday activities, prompt evaluation and treatment can help prevent long-term complications.

We commonly treat:

  • Ankle sprains
  • Foot fractures
  • Stress fractures
  • Ankle fractures
  • Sports-related foot and ankle injuries

Arthritis and Chronic Foot Pain

Joint pain and stiffness can make everyday activities difficult. We evaluate and treat:

  • Big toe arthritis (Hallux rigidus)
  • Foot arthritis
  • Ankle arthritis

Diabetic Foot Care and Nerve Conditions

Patients with diabetes or nerve disorders benefit from regular foot evaluations to help prevent complications and maintain long-term foot health.

Our services include:

  • Comprehensive diabetic foot care
  • Peripheral neuropathy evaluation and treatment
  • Diabetic foot ulcer prevention
  • Routine diabetic foot examinations

Pediatric Foot and Ankle Care

Children can experience many of the same foot and ankle problems as adults, as well as conditions unique to growing feet. We evaluate and treat:

  • Children’s foot conditions
  • Flat feet
  • Heel pain in children
  • Sports injuries in young athletes
  • Gait abnormalities

Personalized Foot and Ankle Care

Every patient is different, which is why every treatment plan is personalized. Our physicians begin with the least invasive treatment options whenever appropriate, including activity modification, physical therapy, custom orthotics, bracing, medications, and other conservative therapies. If surgery is the most effective solution, we offer advanced surgical techniques designed to relieve pain, restore function, and help patients return to work, sports, and the activities they enjoy.

When Should You Recommend Someone See a Foot and Ankle Specialist?

Many people wait months, or even years, before seeking treatment for foot or ankle pain. They may assume the discomfort is simply part of getting older, the result of an active lifestyle, or something that will eventually improve on its own. Unfortunately, delaying care can allow many foot and ankle conditions to worsen, making treatment more difficult and prolonging recovery.

If someone you know is experiencing persistent foot or ankle pain, encouraging them to see a foot and ankle specialist may help them find relief sooner and prevent future complications.

Consider recommending Brighton Foot and Ankle if your friend, family member, neighbor, or coworker experiences:

  • Foot or ankle pain that lasts longer than a few weeks
  • Heel pain, especially with the first steps in the morning
  • Pain that limits walking, exercising, working, or enjoying daily activities
  • A painful bunion or hammertoe that is becoming more severe
  • Recurrent ankle sprains or feelings of ankle instability
  • Thick, painful, ingrown, or fungal toenails
  • Numbness, burning, tingling, or other symptoms of peripheral neuropathy
  • Diabetes with foot wounds, numbness, or other foot concerns
  • A recent foot or ankle injury, including a suspected sprain or fracture
  • Swelling, redness, or pain that does not improve with rest
  • Difficulty wearing shoes because of foot pain or deformity
  • Pain that continues despite trying home treatments

Early diagnosis and treatment often lead to better outcomes, faster recovery, and a wider range of conservative treatment options. At Brighton Foot and Ankle, our physicians develop personalized treatment plans that focus on relieving pain, restoring mobility, and helping patients return to the activities they enjoy as safely and efficiently as possible.

If you know someone living with foot or ankle pain, don’t let them continue to suffer unnecessarily. Whether they need treatment for heel pain, bunions, diabetic foot care, sports injuries, arthritis, or another foot or ankle condition, the team at Brighton Foot and Ankle is here to help. Our team is dedicated to helping patients find lasting relief through expert foot and ankle care tailored to their individual needs. My first visit with Dr. Castelein and his staff were exceedingly productive. The office was run so efficiently, and great pains were taken to get me in for an appointment. Dr. Castelein and his assistant were beyond friendly and knowledgeable. I left with hope that my very flat feet and stretched tendons can be managed and I will be able to get back to walking again without pain soon. Thank you everyone!
